PRIVACY POLICY

RIVL ("we", "us") runs rivlpoker.com, a free play-money Texas Hold'em game. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else handles it and the choices you have. Questions or requests go to support@rivlpoker.com.

What we collect

• Account. Your table name, a securely hashed copy of your private sign-in code and the date the account was made.
• Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, Google sends us a stable account ID that we keep to recognize you. We do not store your email address, name or Google profile picture, and we do not ask for access to any other Google data.
• Profile photo. If you upload one, a small square copy of it is stored with your account and shown to other players.
• Games and ratings. Ranked match results, your Elo rating and league, decision grades and the information needed to run online rooms and the leaderboard.
• Table chat. Messages you send in an online room, shown with your table name to everyone at that table.
• Photo reports. When you report a player photo we store your account ID, the reported account, the reason and the time, so a person can review it.
• Bug reports. Only the category you pick, the text you type and your browser type. They are emailed to our support inbox and are not linked to your account or IP address.
• On your device. Your browser stores your sign-in code, settings, table theme, a saved bot game and bot-practice statistics in local storage. This stays on your device; we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We use this information to run accounts, games, Ranked matchmaking, ratings and the leaderboard, to keep the service fair and safe (for example reviewing reported photos and stopping cheating), to fix problems and to keep the site within its capacity limits. Your table name, photo, rating, league and Ranked statistics are visible to other players.

The AI coach and decision grades are calculated by RIVL's own code in your browser and on our server. Your play is not sent to any outside AI service.

We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, and RIVL has no ads or third-party analytics.

Who else handles it

• Cloudflare hosts RIVL and stores our data in the United States and elsewhere. Like any host it processes technical data such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to that processing.
• Google handles sign-in when you choose it. Google's privacy policy applies to what you share with Google. RIVL's use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect players and the service.

How long we keep it

• Accounts, photos, ratings and match results are kept until you ask us to delete your account.
• Table chat lives only in its room. A room and its chat are deleted after it has been idle for 6 hours.
• Photo reports are kept until they are reviewed, then as a record of the decision.
• Bug report emails are deleted once the issue is dealt with.

Your choices and rights

You can play bot practice without an account. You can change your table name and photo, sign out and clear your browser's stored data at any time.

To see, correct or delete your account data, email support@rivlpoker.com with your table name. We will check that the account is yours before acting and answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to your data protection authority, and we will honor them.

Age

RIVL is for players 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe a younger player has an account, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Sign-in codes are stored only as secure hashes and the site is served over HTTPS. Keep your sign-in code private; anyone who has it can use your account.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and we will point out material changes on the site.
